My FIRST club auction - what a great meeting!
#1
Thumbs Up

What fun that was!

- Watching mini-bidding wars ( Big Grin), and even finally benefiting myself, although I had sworn up and down I wouldn't do it, but hey, how DOES one stop oneself from bidding on a $4 GB lot?! It called to me, ya know?  Wink

- OOH, and I brought home some GB new stamp issue packets for review from Roy over the next couple of weeks!

- And thanks to Richard for the unexpected Belgium stamps he found and gave me... what a Mentor!  Heart

- Finally, I spoke to Bob about some stamp stuff going on with a friend of mine and her sadly-unwell parents (because it's above my pay grade), and he offered to email her and let her know what steps she could take. THANKS Bob! I'll get that info to ya! She's very grateful.

This club rocks!

A great meeting indeed ... couldn't agree more.

Having so many club dealers is one of the best features of our club. And, being able to take stuff home on approval is an awesome feature of that. On the more complex and interesting material, having at least two weeks to research and study makes it a lot easier to choose what you want to buy.

And, who doesn't like a fun and fast paced auction (smile).

I ended up with a lot of nice occupation stamps yesterday. Here are two of them from the opposite ends of Eurasia.

A Flying Horse from Japanese occupied Mengjiang (Inner Mongolia)
