Working on WWI France , I found myself intrigued by these Territorial Regiments popster stamps. They appear to have been used by soldiers (and others) on correspondence (Like Swiss soldiers' stamps). So, when I saw this grouping on eBay, I decided to buy them.
I'm out of my depth here (it's been hard to find a copy of 'Images of the Great War' by Schmidt -- who catalogued a lot of these poster stamps). I think many of them were published by Delandre but perhaps not all. Anyway, I think they're great artifacts of this period. Good additions.
