1929 (Aug. 27), Oversized, over-franked cover from Oshkosh, WI to Paris, France (Sieger 32),[/b] flown on the Lakehurst-to-Friedrichshafen return leg of the 1929 Around-the-World flight, an attention-grabbing 55-stamp franking on one of the largest Zeppelin covers we've seen (13 x 10 inches); stamps (some faulty) range from Bank Notes to Columbians to 2¢ Reds to Airmails, Special Delivery and Special Handling; all tied by numerous Oshkosh duplex cancels, endorsed "By German Airship LZ126/Lakehurst-Paris" with bilingual Airmail and French/English and German Special Delivery etiquettes on front; reverse with Friedrichshafen receiver (Sept. 4) and two "Epinal a Paris" transit (Sept. 5); philatelic and fantastic, Fine to Very Fine. I purchased another U.S. Scott 231 cover lol the largest I will own, To Add with my other 50,000 plus Scott 231 stamps I have.
