I'm a digital subscriber to The Canadian Philatelist and its pictures (and their quality) have been a bit of a bugbear with me over the years. If I open the PDF magazine on my tablet's second screen (my main one), at the screen width in size this is how a picture scan will show up:
Stretching the picture out on a smaller screen will have the same result. Obviously, this is way less than optimal, especially if the writer included the picture to show some detail thingie about the stamp! Could it be they need to render the PDF of the magazine at a higher quality? Not sure... it could be it would make it less manageable due to the download size? Although we are now really in the true Digital Age and file sizes matter far less than they ever did for most people due to fibre-powered Internet. Just the other day, for example, I was downloading files that were 2-3 gigs in size for several hours, all while my husband was streaming TV in the other room.
Anywho, I think I inserted my photo right. So thanks again! #AppliedForumSkills
